Our Fees:

We are currently in-network with BCBS and Aetna insurance providers. For those who prefer not to use insurance, we offer competitive cash rates. Additionally, we work with the Victims Compensation Fund for reimbursement. If you'd like to explore superbill options, we can discuss them prior to scheduling your intake.

All fees are inclusive of any treatment modalities used during the session.

Therapist fees range from $80 to $350 per session, depending on the type of session booked. Please visit the individual therapist bio pages for their specific rates.

We accept payment via cash, credit card, or HSA/FSA.

Cancellation and Intake Policies:
Cancellation Policy: If a session is cancelled within 24 hours or less, a full charge for that session will be rendered.

No Show Policy: If there is a no show for a session, a full charge for that session will be rendered. That charge will be to the client as we cannot bill insurance for no shows or late cancels.

Intake Policy: Upon scheduling an intake, all paperwork will be sent to the individual prior to the appointment through a secured network. The paperwork must be returned a minimum of 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. If the paperwork is not received prior to that deadline, the intake will be cancelled.
Private Pay vs Insurance:
Many insurance companies place restrictions on the services available to individuals, couples, and families, often for a variety of reasons. These limitations can hinder the effectiveness of treatment and create additional stress for those seeking support.

Opting for private pay allows for greater privacy since no information is reported to insurance companies. Some individuals prefer to keep their mental health care confidential for personal reasons, and paying privately ensures that their sessions remain strictly between them and their therapist.

Another advantage of private pay is the freedom it provides in terms of the services offered. Insurance companies often impose limitations on the frequency, length, and duration of therapy, without fully understanding the unique needs of the individual. Private pay removes these restrictions, allowing for more flexibility and a treatment plan that best serves the client’s needs.

Additionally, private pay does not require a formal diagnosis to access services. Sometimes, individuals may need to address a specific stressor without meeting the criteria for a formal diagnosis. If they were to use insurance, they could be denied services or pressured into receiving a diagnosis to qualify for coverage. This can limit access to necessary care.

At Northern Lights Therapy, PLLC, our goal is to support clients in their journey toward healing, free from external constraints or limitations imposed by insurance. We prioritize your well-being and work with you to create a treatment plan that truly supports your needs.

If needed, there are options for a superbill that you can submit to insurance. Please contact us for information regarding superbills.
